Light as a spatial, temporal and intellectual material

Light is intangible until it touches an object, giving it an inherently spatial quality. Architect and professor Jorge L. Hernández experiments with light’s properties, both as material and metaphor.

To celebrate Hernández’s collaborative exhibition at the Time Space Existence biennial in Venice, PLANE—SITE produced a short film featuring Hernández’s work and an interview. His exhibition, titled ‘Lightbox’, featured diagrams, models and photography.
