A building portrait for a living, breathing workspace

New ways of working require new kinds of workspaces. Today, an office needs openness, vitality, and flexibility; it should respond to the needs of the workforce as much as the specificity of its environment. Sonora 113, designed by architect Iñaki Echeverría, is a building that meets these particularly 21st-century demands. Responding to a historical site, the architect creatively responded to this challenging site by preserving parts of the original building, thereby preserving the history and heritage of the neighborhood.

PLANE—SITE developed and produced a short film about this contemporary, flexible building typology, profiling the building and featuring an interview with lead architect Iñaki Echeverría.
