This profile piece engages in conversation with famed Colombian architect Giancarlo Mazzanti. PLANE–SITE delved deep into the typology of educational architecture and his body of work, which ranges from early childhood learning to libraries and public spaces. Together, we explore the role and importance of play in architecture. Spaces of Education highlights the areas where architecture and pedagogy meet to support the creation of spaces for spontaneous and undirected playfulness.
